KATHLEEN Jowett spent years volunteering for a disabled centre. Now a fund-raising sale has been held in her memory.
When the 69-year-old died after a brain haemorrhage last year, her husband Michael decided to donate her clothes to the Calder Valley Club in Burnley Road, Mytholmroyd.
Mrs Jowett, from Hebden Bridge, helped out at the centre for more than a decade.
Mr Jowett said: "She just loved volunteering there. That was her life." He said Mrs Jowett would be pleased to know her clothes had been put to good use.
"It's what she would have wanted," he said.
"She was a lovely person and her wardrobe was unbelievable. She loved her clothes."
Pam Sharpe, manager at the club, which helps disabled people, said the donation of Mrs Jowett's clothes had inspired them to hold a week-long clothing sale to raise cash.
"Kathleen was very generous and did so much for the club."
