The 14-year-old Halifax guitarist and singer rubbed shoulders with James Morrison, McFly, Sharleen Spiteri, The Script, Lemar and Alesha Dixon at the annual Jingle Ball charity event at the City of Manchester Stadium earlier this month, run by city radio station Key 103.

The event raised thousands of pounds for the Cash for Kids charity, helping disadvantaged youngsters across Great-er Manchester. It raised nearly £10,000 on the day, with more still to be counted.

Now Paddy is preparing to sing his heart out again – this time in Halifax – to support pupils at Ravenscliffe High Special School, Skircoat Green Halifax, Calderdale's only specialist secondary school for children with learning difficulties.

The Pudstock event at Arden Road Social Club, Halifax, on Saturday (7.30pm) follows the successful Live 'Eath charity rock concert in the summer at Heath Rugby Union Club, Halifax, which raised more than £7,000 for Ravenscliffe.

Also on the bill are My Brother Jake, Both Barrels, Jimmy Farrell, recently re-formed Blue Water and Giants Causeway.

Paddy played at that event but it was during an acoustic session at the Murgatroyd Arms pub in Skircoat Green Road, Halifax, that he was spotted by Tracy Eastwood, station director of Manchester radio station Key 103, who lives in Halifax.

He was invited to kick off the Jingle Ball and he, his 12-year-old sister Roisin, and parents Gabrielle and Kevin McCallion all attended the event earlier this month and were able to meet the headline acts.

Paddy said: "It was brilliant. I was expecting to play two songs but they asked me to play several."
