The Courier can now reveal the winner of Sing a Song for Christmas 2008.
St John's CE Primary School, Rishworth, topped the contest with a massive 142,691 votes.
Just behind them with only a few votes less was Triangle Primary School with 142,588 votes.
St John's will win a professional recording of their winning song thanks to 1st Floor Music.
They will also receive a percussion set thanks to the company at Bull Green, Halifax.
Congratulations to all the schools who took part.
There have been problems with the voting this year. There was a loophole in our system which allowed people to multiple vote very quickly.
We are now working to fix that and make sure we have what everyone will agree is a fairer system for such competitions.
But that should not detract from the excellent singing of the children. Thousands of people have enjoyed the vidoes - and that has been the real value of the contest.
Thank-you for your great performances!
