A HEALTH-conscious couple are combining business skills and beauty qualifications to transform the lives of Calderdale people.
Human resources and computer expert Muhibul Haq has recently become partner in his wife Nazia's enterprise, the Healthy Beauty Bar, which opened earlier this year in Gibbet Street, Halifax.

The salon, located within the Bodyflex ladies-only gymnasium, offers a huge range of facial and body treatments to people of all walks of life, ages and skin types.

Mr Haq said the business had a number of unique selling points:

"Healthy Beauty Bar is the first salon offering laser/IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments in hair removal, acne treatment and pigmentation treatment in the whole of Calderdale and adjoining areas of Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield and Huddersfield.

"Since we are health conscious, we cannot compromise in our services and products. Therefore we retail and use Dermalogica in all facial and body treatments and we only use 100 per cent pure mineral products in all make-ups.

"We treat all ages and all skin types and colours and have extraordinary expertise in bridal make-ups.

"We keep prices to a minimum because we are not just a business - rather, we are a health-conscious business which wants to make a difference in the communities we are living in and working with."

Mrs Haq, 31, is a beauty therapy specialist who already has an ITEC Diploma Level 2 qualification, an ITEC Diploma Level 3 in Nail Technology and an NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification in Facial and Body Electrical Treatments. She is also a fully qualified semi-permanent eyelash designer.

She is continuing to study at college on Mondays to add to her qualifications but offers a flexible service to suit her clients' needs.

Well I mean.

This could inspire a man to purchase a return ticket.

"to add to her qualifications but offers a flexible service to suit her clients' needs."
