Belly-dancing fun for hospital funds

HIPS swayed as the music played for these lovely ladies who raised funds for a hospital unit.
Members of Elland Ladies Circle took part in a belly-dancing class as part of fund-raising events for the renal unit at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

Alex Roberts, chairwoman of the group, said it was a lot of fun. Other events held through the year included a chocolate party and refreshments at the Elland bonfire.

They raised £1,500, which was presented to the unit.

Mrs Roberts said: "It has been fantastic. There are only 17 of us so we have done a great job."
