THE Halifax concert of singer Beverley Craven, pictured, has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
The Brit award winner, best known for her 1990 Top Three single Promise Me, had been due to play the Victoria Theatre on Thursday – the second date of her autumn tour.
But it has now been confirmed the most northerly point of the tour had proved to be the least welcoming to the singer, whose father came from Leeds.
A spokeswoman for Beverley said: "We have had to cancel the Halifax show as ticket sales were very slow.
"Tickets for other shows have sold much better but Halifax just never seemed to get off the ground."
Mother-of-three Beverley fought breast cancer in 2005.
Her experiences inspired her to write new songs for her forthcoming album, due for release next year.
The spokeswoman added: "Beverley's health is good and that is definitely not the reason for the cancellation."
