BURGLARS committed three sneak-in thefts in one night.

Police believe all three burglaries are connected.

The spate took place in the Rastrick area, with incidents in Crowtrees Lane, Slade Lane and Jumble Dyke, all on the night of July 21/22.

A motor scooter was taken from one house and a Triumph motorbike from the other.

In each case the thieves gained access through insecure windows and doors.

DI Tony Nicholson of Halifax CID urged people to lock their doors and windows at night.

He added that anyone with information about the thefts or the whereabouts of the vehicles should contact Halifax CID on 01422 337080.
