A cannabis factory has been uncovered during police raids.
Officers found 11 plants, which have been sent for analysis, at an industrial unit, off Rochdale Road, in Sowerby Bridge.

Hydroponics equipment was discovered at another unit nearby on the same day.

During another raid, police found cannabis plants at a house in Boothtown, Halifax.

A 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the Boothtown find on suspicion of possession of class C drugs with intent to supply.

Inquiries are continuing into the discovery in Sowerby Bridge.

Sergeant Andrew Carlin said: "We need the public to continue passing us information about suspected illegal drug activity.

"We ask people to keep us informed on anything suspicious in their local area and we will act on information that is passed to us.

"Where we suspect the illegal cultivation and supply of cannabis is taking place, we will take positive action to disrupt it."

Police seized 22 plants from a house in Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse.

Officers were alerted by firefighters.

They had been called to the house after neighbours feared a fire was raging next door because of the high temperatures coming through the walls.

Police are investigating but no arrests have yet been made.

If anyone suspects someone is growing cannabis then they should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
