THE true glory of four Halifax landmarks has been captured in a new exhibition.
Halifax Photographic Society set its members the task of looking at the four famous buildings – the Parish Church, the Piece Hall, the town hall and
the HBOS building in Trinity Road – through new eyes.
Each building represents a different part of the long history of the town and its changing fortunes over the centuries.
The society's Craig Johnston said: "We chose the photos that we felt showed off the buildings in their best light."
Pictures include shots taken from a cherry picker up close to the town hall stonework and interior shots of the parish church.
The exhibition, Looking At Halifax, runs until July 12, daily from 10am to 5pm, at the Piece Hall Art Gallery.
Admission is free.
