Is there anything these days which is NOT given awards for performing the function for which it was designed?

Naw, awards have been reduced to the level of handing out free Popcorn. Sneeze and afore long you'll have a gong for some reason or another.

I have recently given my front gate an award as it excels in safety and security whereas the rear gate is a bit stiff. I would like this in the Courier tomorrow please.
