Ten-year-old Casey Magloire was chosen as the Stardom School of Performing Arts Student of the Year in front of a packed Victoria Theatre, Halifax.
The accolade came during the school's recent Celebration of Achievement show involving 260 children and a packed audience.

Casey, of Queensbury, is a pupil at Shibden Head Primary School and has been attending Stardom classes for four years.

School owner Liz Davies said Casey won the award for her positive attitude and consistent effort.

"She is a delightful and hard working girl," she said.

"Quite a lot of the students are used to performing at the Victoria and they loved it.

"There is nothing better than performing to a packed house."

Prizes were presented by St Helens rugby league star Leon Pryce, whose son William is a Stardom student. Classes are held in Northowram and Shelf.
