A CHARITY shop has been given a facelift thanks to a grant.
Yorkshire Cancer Research's premises in Halifax was awarded £500 by the Community Foundation for Calderdale.
The money, which has come from the group's Gartland Family Trust fund, was used to redecorate the building and for a new carpet.
Christine Nunn, chairwoman of the Yorkshire Cancer Research Halifax Committee, said: "We were delighted to receive this grant. The shop was in desperate need of refurbishment.
"I would like to thank the Community Foundation for Calderdale for its generosity, which has enabled us to transform our charity shop."
