David Chaytor, Calderdale Council's former education chairman, is among six MPs and peers facing fraud charges following a Scotland Yard investigation into the abuse of Parliamentary expenses.
Detectives are expected to pass files to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Mr Chaytor, who lives in Todmorden, is the Labour MP for Bury North. He has admitted claiming almost £13,000 for a mortgage already paid off.
