FANCY sharing your pint and pork scratchings with two pigs and their farmyard friends?
If so, pop along to the Stirk Bridge Inn, Bridge Street, Sowerby Bridge, to meet Dolce and Gabbana and the sheep, ducks, hens, rabbits and guinea pigs they share their bar snacks with.

Diane Hall, 30, and Odette Cisinzky, 48, took over the running of the pub eight weeks ago.

"We have done it up and people say it looks better than ever," said Diane. "We wanted the animals because it's something a bit different, especially for children.

"Our pigs, Dolce and Gabbana, come into the pub for biscuits. The children can stroke the sheep. It's great fun."

Pub regular Kieran Brewer, of Beechwood, Sowerby, said: "I've never seen anything like it before but the animals are really well behaved.

Debbie Cope, 41, said: "The rabbit is the biggest I've ever seen but it's very friendly."

A giant tortoise will soon be joining the pub.

Not for me I'm afraid - aren't there places called zoos for this kind of thing. Pub dog and cats ok.

I've been in, lovely pub, excellent beer garden and the kids that were there loved the animals. People may question health and safety but as far as i'm aware they dont do food, surely it can't do any harm, this country has gone a bit health and safety mad, it's a bit of fun for the kids.
