A man and his son have appeared before Calderdale magistrates on deception charges.
Andrew Mark Harding, 27, of Poplar View, Lightcliffe, is charged with obtaining more than £15,000 from Brenda Nicholls claiming that it was for their wedding ceremony. He then allegedly transferred the money to his father, John Harding, 56, of Whitegate Road, Halifax.

He faces seven counts of possessing criminal property in relation to sums of money deposited in a Lloyds TSB account.

The case yesterday was committed to Bradford Crown Court where they will appear on April 26. Both men were released on conditional bail.
