THE poor state of some local footpaths is to be brought to the attention of Calderdale Council Regeneration and Development Panel.
Councillors are upset about broken flags and temporary repairs in Todmorden. Liberal Democrats Ruth Goldthorpe and Olwen Jennings said they had received complaints about gas, electricity and water companies digging holes and not reinstating them properly or safely.

"Having spent several months needing sticks to help me walk I know how difficult pavements can be for those in wheelchairs and even for those with no mobility problems," said Coun Goldthorpe.
