MORE than 1,500 homes in Hebden Bridge were left without electricity last night after a fire at a substation.
The blaze at the King Street station in the town begun at around 3.30am and caused minimal damage before three fire crews from Halifax, Mytholmroyd and Todmorden tackled it.

The blackout mainly effected properties in the Savile Road area.
Power was restored by 4.50am.
