Fire service award for brave young Joe

A BRAVE 10-year old has been awarded for his actions after helping his family escape a raging house fire.
Joe Green, of Orion Place, Sowerby Bridge rang the emergency services when a fire started in the kitchen grill on April 29.

The year six pupil at Bolton Brow Primary School was presented with the district manager's letter of appreciation at Halifax Fire Station, King Cross Road, Halifax.

His brothers Jake, eight and Kian two were presented with bravery awards.
