Five in hospital after Halifax crash

FIVE men were taken to hospital after the car they were in smashed into a wall.
Three men suffered broken bones and were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. The other two men suffered concussion and bruising and were treated at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

One of the men was trapped in the car and had to be cut free by firefighters after the crash on Lee Bank, near Dean Clough, Halifax, at 2.30am today.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene after the red Fiat Punto careered into the wall.

A stretch of road was closed off until 6am.
