A TOTAL of 20 cafes, businesses and organisations have been awarded five-star ratings by Calderdale hygiene experts.
Restaurants, schools, churches and a flooring firm are among those winning the top mark in the latest Scores on the Doors.

Waterside Lodge Residential Home, Todmorden, was one of those received the highest accolade in the assessment by Calderdale
Council.

Manger Carol Tait said: "I am pleased but not surprised at being awarded the five-star rating.

"We have a brand new kitchen and a team of dedicated and hard-working staff."

The results of the food and hygiene inspections carried out in June show a further 19 premises across Calderdale have received top honours.

This top rating means enviromental health officers rated the businesses having "very high standards of compliance with food-safety legislations."

Twenty-six other establishments were awarded a four-star rating during the inspections while none received the lowest score of zero stars.

Manger Carol Tait - could someone please enlighten me & tell me what does a Manger do in a hotel?
Does she sit there waiting for a baby to arrive so that she can rock it?
Does she supply hay for horses?
Any other suggestions - clean ones of course
