Fourth man held over armed raid on Halifax bookies

A FOURTH person has appeared before Calderdale magistrates following an armed robbery at a Halifax bookies.



Lyndon Haley, 25, of Ovenden Way, Halifax, is charged with conspiracy to rob, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

He was remanded in custody until July 30 when he will appear before Judge Roger Scott at Bradford Crown Court for a preliminary hearing along with his three co-accused.

They are Jonathan Richard Williams, 30, Nathan Hutchinson, 18, and a youth, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.

The robbery occurred on July 18 at Ladbrokes, Keighley Road, Ovenden, at 8.50pm.
