Police are trying to trace relatives of a pensioner who was knocked down by a lorry.
Cyril Bottomley, 91, is thought to be from Halifax and have family in the area.

He is in a serious condition at Blackpool Victoria Hospital today (Friday) after being hit by a 7.5 ton truck in the car park of a shopping centre in Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire.

Mr Bottomley, who may have been on holiday, was trapped under the lorry and had to be cut free by firefighters.

Police found a hotel key on him but little other identification.

The accident happened on Thursday just before 11.30am.

PC Christopher Ashworth, from Lancaster police, said: "It is important for us to contact this man's family as soon as possible. If any relatives can contact me they should call Lancaster Police on 01524 63333 quoting log number LC – 20080515 - 0581."
