ONE girl proved she could bend it just as well as Beckham in a school production at Park Lane High, Halifax.
The musical play, called No Place for a Girl, was performed by pupils from year seven up to year 11.
The play, written by Mark Wheeler, tells the story of a girl who wants to play football but comes up against many problems. It ends with her playing for the England women's team.
Keith Hepworth, the school's marketing officer, said: "It was an excellent play and it had a fantastic reception."
