Little devils make treats

LITTLE chefs cooked up a storm in a Hell's Kitchen-style game.
Around 40 youngsters, aged between five and 14, took part in the challenge at Mixenden Adventure Play Centre, Slippy Lane, Mixenden Road, Mixenden, Halifax.
The children were split up into three groups before selecting three envelopes that determined if they were to cook a starter, main or dessert, whether their meal should be inspired by Italy, England or France and how much money they had to spend.
The teams then set off to the shop to buy their ingredients before heading to the kitchen.
Dishes created included a pizza pie, a spaghetti oven bake topped with potatoes and cheese, chocolate buns and butterfly buns.
The centre is open during the holidays on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 1pm, and 2pm to 5pm. During term-time opening hours are on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 8pm. Anyone aged five to 14 is welcome and sessions are all free.
