A LORRY that was wedged on a narrow Calderdale lane for more than three hours has been moved.
The white Volvo articulated HGV got stuck at the top of Hollins Mill Lane at the junction of Hollins Lane, Sowerby Bridge at 7.15am.
Police were alerted to the problem and with the help of Stoneywood Motors were able to move the vehicle.
The driver was unable to drive up or reverse back down the steep road after being led up the wrong passage by a local passer by.
Drivers were advised to find an alternative route while the area was cleared. The road has now been reopened.

Waggon drivers used to be the knight's of the road. Now they are just arrogant, jumped up plonkers who think they can do or go anywhere they like. They drive with no regard to any one else on the road.

Come on Matt, be fair, the article did say he was led up there by a 'local passer by' (who probably owns a very small car!)

if it wasnt for wagon drivers you wouldnt have half the things in the shops , and you cant just say all wagon drivers are arrogant just like every other business there are good and bad.

flippin heck mattbingo. so what if they don't have any qualifications... least they are earning a living and have a job. this is a good thing. you can't generalise like that. they aren't all bad people! blimey - were you bullied by a wagon driver at school?
For once it wasn't a satnav sending a lorry down a small road!!
By the way matt i have 5 o levels - is this sufficient qualifications for you - or am i uneducated too!

Mattbingo.....you think that everyone else is thick/arrogant, etc, is this from your personal dealings with these sort's of people. If so I would suggest that it is more likely you as the cause of their irritations.
P.S. what do you do for a living or are you a scrounger?

Mattbingo - My son drives a lorry he has got 2 A levels and 6 O'levels. He drives because he enjoys it. Have you ever driven a lorry? If you had you would know that a "thick pig headed nomark" wouldn't be able to cope with all the controls!

As pointed out earlier the driver was led up the road by a local. It is the local who should be derided as he should have known better not the lorry driver who is probably not from around here.
