A MAN who pushed his pregnant wife to the floor was given a two-year supervision order.
Akeel Ahmed, 26, of Rose Terrace, Pellon, Halifax, was separated from his wife when he assaulted her on May 13.
Andy Wills, prosecuting, told Calderdale magistrates that Ahmed had been at his wife's house in Highroad Well, Halifax.
Ahmed had just found out she was pregnant and they had an argument about the unplanned pregnancy.
Mr Wills said: "He got very angry and demanded she had an abortion, which she refused point blank to do."
The row escalated and he pushed her, and smashed her mobile phone.
Ahmed admitted assault, criminal damage and failing to surrender to police.
