Man in court accused of rugby club attack

A man has appeared before Calderdale magistrates following attacks on two people.
Matthew Squire, 21, of Lindwell Avenue, Greetland, is charged with assaulting Paul Greenwood on July 13 at Heath Rugby Union Football Club, North Dean, Stainland Road, Greetland, and causing him actual bodily harm.

He is also charged with a similar offence against Adam King which occurred on July 28 during an unrelated incident.

The case was adjourned until October 21. Squire was remanded in custody.
