A MAN shot himself dead in his back garden and was discovered by his neighbour.
Peter Jakeways, 58, was found with a gun shot wound to his head at Lindley Moor Road in Ainley Top in August, an inquest at Halifax Town Hall heard today (Thursday).

Mr Jakeways, a quantity surveyor for Leeds City Council, had been seeing a psychiatrist for depression.

West Yorkshire deputy coroner Paul Marks recorded a verdict of suicide.
