LAST-CHANCE talks to resolve the Calderdale "bin wars" are to resume on Thursday – at Manchester Airport.
Senior executives of Sita UK are to be flown in for a summit with representatives of Kerbside Calderdale.

Details of the talks are being kept under wraps but hopes are growing the two sides may agree to work together.

Calder Valley MP Chris McCafferty, who brokered the talks, said: "There is no doubt this is the last chance of reaching an agreement.

"I hope everyone will be willing to go the extra mile to find a way forward."

Sita took over all refuse collection in Calderdale in August but Kerbside is continuing to gather recyclables from 25,000 homes between Halifax and Todmorden.

Why Manchester Airport, will the "representitives" from SITA not get through passport control?

Or is it that they don't care about calderdale only about the pound notes flying from here to france!

Watch your backs at the airport Kerbside, this sounds like a trap to me.Before you know it you'll be the ones 'recycled'into the foundations of the new terminal building.
Make sure you take plenty of muscle because they will have the Manchester crew available to them if things turn nasty.
Go tooled up with with plenty of scrap iron and some body armour made from a cornflake packet and empty fairy liquid bottles.
