CHILDREN "love every minute" of learning at Bowling Green Primary School, Stainland.
Pupils' personal development was rated outstanding, by Ofsted inspectors during a recent inspection.
The school has improved since its last visit and standards are now above average.
Inspector Robert Robinson said: "Parents appreciate the education and good care provided for their children.
"Pupils enjoy school and flourish and this is reflected in their superb attendance, punctuality and eagerness to learn.
"Parents highly praise the school and confirm the children are happy and love every minute here."
He added that well-organised teaching and a well-planned curriculum enabled pupils to achieve.
Attendance and behaviour is very good. "Relationships throughout the school are superb and no time is lost dealing with behavioural issues," said Mr Robinson.
Head teacher Sian Fenton said: "We're all extremely proud of our school and it is great to have it acknowledged by Ofsted.
"Children really do enjoy school and flourish at Bowling Green – our pupils are fantastic. They're caring and polite and they appreciate the good quality of teaching they receive.
"Everyone involved with the school works incredibly hard to provide children with the best education possible.
"Visitors always comment on the warm welcome they receive at Bowling Green. We have excellent staff and governors, supportive parents and carers, and, of course, fabulous children."
