Road awareness was the focus for these junior safety officers.
Warley Road Primary School pupils (from the left) Emily Rehman, 10, Umayyah Zaman, 11, Louis Gordon, 10, and Amna Tahir, 11, encouraged drivers to park safely to prevent accidents.

Janet Foster, business manager at the Halifax school, said: "We have a large number of children who walk to school each day. However, we do have a problem with inconsiderate parking and want to make sure that none of our children are hurt."

The road safety officers are working with the school and road safety officers to find ways of raising awareness of the need to park safely.
