THIRTY people had to be evacuated from flats after water leaked into an electric switch room.
Crews from Halifax Fire Station were called to the four-storey apartments on Oldham Road in Ripponden at 1pm today where a substantial amount of water had come from a tank in the top to the basement.

People had to leave their homes while electricity experts made the building safe.
