DETECTIVES are hoping to speak to a man found with head injuries at his Brighouse home in the next few days.
Officers have not yet been able to establish how John Housego came about his injuries.

The 47-year-old was found on the evening of Good Friday in his room at the Black Swan pub, Brighouse. He had been on a night out in the town on Thursday.

Det Insp Ashley Hewitt said: "At the moment we don't think there are any suspicious circumstances. It seems he may have fallen, but we have not yet spoken to him and until we do we can't rule out anything."

Mr Housego is in a critical condition at Leeds General Infirmary.

The Black Swan pub was cordoned off by police from Friday night until Saturday morning.

Mr Housego, who is believed to be from the north east, had been living in Brighouse while working as a tradesman in the area.

He has played football for local teams including the Martins Nest Saturday team and Eastfield.

Witnesses should contact Calderdale CID on 01422 337085.
