A MAN flashed at a woman when he called to collect the rent for her washing machine.
Keith Dickinson, 42, of Oakroyd Drive, Brighouse, admitted exposing himself.

Calderdale magistrates heard that the offence happened on July 7 when Dickinson, who worked for First Choice Rentals, called at a house in Halifax.

Andy Wills, prosecu
ting, said the customer, a mother of three, had used the company for five years and Dickinson had been calling to collect payments from her for the past three and a half years.

Mr Wills said: "When the woman turned away to get the money, she turned around and noticed that he was standing there with his pants and under-pants down exposing his genitals.

"The victim's response was to say, 'What the hell do you think you are doing – that is disgusting, put it away'."

Dickinson left the property but returned to apologise though the victim told him to leave.

Mr Wills said at first she called her sister and then the police were contacted.

Dickinson handed himself in and admitted the offence.

Philip Cockroft, for Dickinson, said the offence was at the lower end of the scale.

He said Dickinson is a house husband and looks after his five children while his wife is studying to become a nurse.

Mr Cockroft said: "He had asked the woman out for a meal previously but she had decided not to take up the offer.

"He has never been convicted of anything similar before – it is completely out of character and he is very ashamed indeed," said Mr Cockroft.

Sentencing was adjourned until August 19 for the preparation of a report and Dickinson was released on bail.
