A SIXTH-form band is dreaming of being in the charts this time next week.
Ten Floors today released their download-only single The Apple Tree and 4,000 downloads over the next six days should secure a Top 40 placing.

Click the green play button to hear a sample of the single.

The band consists of Rastrick High School pupils Josh Carruthers, brothers Ste Brown, Jake Brown and Adi Bell. They are all 17.

They have been busy over recent weeks on a promotional tour which included a gig on Saturday at the Ukrainian Club, Halifax, and tomorrow is launch party night at Trash, Leeds.

"We are really excited and hope we can make it into the Top 40 but that now all depends on others," said Josh, of Brighouse.

The Apple Tree will be available in digital stores and each download costs 79p.

Ten Floors are a piano-based indie/rock band.

"We are eager for success and we are urging everyone who has a spare 79p to give up five minutes of their time to secure the Top 40 spot," said Adi. "We can't do it without everyone's help."

Good stuff! Much better than I was expecting. There are some rather trite rhymes in there, but they don't detract from the song overall - the bass drum is used very well, and the singer has a great voice. Downloading now and will tell my friends to do the same.
