STUDENTS are making the most of the sunshine by staging a bright and colourful exhibition.
"A typical British Summer" showcases photography, life drawing and jewellery by Calderdale College's art and design students.

Fashion design and art are also on the agenda at the end of year show.

Emma Hodgson, 22, is in her second year of a National Diploma in Art and Design and hopes to work in fashion textiles when she graduates.

She said: "I've combined that idea with the repeated patterns that you find in 1960s clothing."

The show also provides an opportunity for prospective students to see what is on offer at the college.

The exhibition at the Creative and Conser-vation Skills Centre, Francis Street runs until July 11.
