Thieves armed with a handgun and knife attack bookies

ARMED robbers burst into a bookies and demanded cash.
The raiders, armed with a handgun and a knife, attacked Ladbrokes in Keighley Road, Ovenden, Halifax, at 8.50pm on Friday.

They ordered customers to lie on the floor before escaping in a burgundy car with cash.

One of the raiders was described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall, with short hair, in his mid 20s and wearing a jumper.

Armed response police officers were called to deal with the incident.
