THOUSANDS of people flocked to Todmorden Agricultural Show at the weekend when it returned to Centre Vale Park.
Among the attractions were horses, sheep and cattle, with a special pet section for children. Ferrets, a tug-o'-war and a birds of prey show were other family favourites, along with fairground rides.

Despite the damp weather, the show went on well into the afternoon, with Todmorden Brass Band playing from the bandstand.

Ruth Goldthorpe, the show's membership secretary, said this year's show had brought a great response from the public, with pre-day tickets selling out.

She said: "We would like to thank people from Todmorden and further afield who came along to support us." The full show has not been held since 2005 because of improvement work in the park.
