THIS is one of the pictures police released of a Halifax cannabis factory raided in one of the biggest hauls of its kind.
Officers raided two properties in the Waterside area, near the rail line close to the centre of town, after a tip-off was given to Crimestoppers.
More than 450 plants were discovered at one address and a further 100 plants were found at another property, both off Water Lane.
The pictures show cannabis plants growing with the aid of hydroponics lighting and irrigation systems.
Other drugs-related paraphernalia was also found at the cannabis farms.
Three men, aged 37, 32 and 20, were arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.
Halifax officers carried out the raids at the commercial premises.
The plants have been sent for forensic analysis.
Insp Peter Smith said anyone found cultivating and dealing cannabis could face a maximum of 14 years in prison.
He added: "We need the public to continue passing us information about suspected illegal drug activity.
"We ask people to keep an eye out for anything suspicious in their local area and we will act on information passed to us.
"Where we suspect the illegal cultivation and supply of cannabis is taking place, we will take action to disrupt it.
"If anyone suspects someone is growing cannabis then they should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is expected to call for cannabis to be upgraded from a class C drug back to a class B drug after health concerns over the long-term use of cannabis use.
