PARENTS have been warned to watch out for their children around empty buildings after a fire.
Houses in Bruce Street, off Parkinson Lane, Halifax, are ready for demolition.

At around 3.30am today (Thursday) Halifax firefighters were called to one of the houses which had been set ablaze.

Watch manager Jason Mills said: "Some of the houses have been broken into and someone has got into one of those and set it on fire.

"These kinds of sites are like magnets for youngsters, and there is danger there.

"In a fire the floor could go through from underneath. Parents should be aware of where their children are."

Crews spent about one hour tackling the blaze.

Children setting fire to a property @ 3.30am? If these empty houses were put to good use by people who actually needed a roof over there head, or if they are going to be demolished, actually demolish them this would not happen. How did they no they were children who did this? I suppose it couldnt be the druggies who hang around these areas.
