A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with spinal injuries after a car crash.
Her green Vauxhall Corsa left Oldham Road, Rishworth, careered down an embankment and hit a tree.

The driver lost control on a bend as she approached the village from the M62 near the Old Boar restaurant.

Fire crews and police went to the scene at about midday today.

Firefighters had to cut the roof off the car to free the woman.

She was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

The road has not been closed.
