TOMORROW is your last chance to perform live on stage in the Courier Web Idol competition.
Our last live session to find Calderdale's top singing sensation will be at the Murgatroyd Arms, Skircoat Green, Halifax, between 8pm and 10.30pm.

Fourteen hopefuls showed up for last week's competition night at the Murgatroyd and Amy Winehouse made an appearance at the Golden Lion, Ripponden, on Saturday – after Ian Webber transformed himself.

"Ian was fantastic. When he sang everyone in the pub stopped to watch. He looked amazing", said Karen Rice, of the Courier's promotions team.

Tracks by Oasis, Radiohead, Tina Turner and Billy Idol were sung at the Murgatroyd.

As well as Ian singing Amy Winehouse's Valerie, crooners at the Golden Lion included Matthew Pell, 28, of Ripponden, who sang Elton John's Your Song and his sister Gemma, 23, of Rishworth, sang Stuck In The Middle With You. His girlfriend, Joanne Beevers, 33, of Elland, took to the stage to sing Madonna's Crazy For You.

"It was a really good night with a great atmosphere," said Karen.

It's not too late to enter, either drop off your own video clips before October 7 or go to our last session tomorrow. You can sing along to one of the thousands of backing tracks or bring your own.

Videos of all the performers will be put on our website. Once all the videos are online, readers can vote for a winner.

The prize is a day's studio time at Calder Recordings, worth £1,000.
