PUPILS tucked into a healthy breakfast as part of their school’s science week.

Governors and teachers at Salterhebble J&I school took a seat next to their pupils to tuck into a healthy buffet breakfast.

It took place as part of the school’s science week.

Chair of Governors, Kevin Stewart, said he had really enjoyed the event.

After their breakfast the children surveyed their lunch boxes and all took home helpful tips about what makes a healthy lunch to their parents.

They also got in touch with their culinary side to create healthy snacks including museli bars, smoothies and fruit kebabs which they will sell at an enterprise event tomorrow.
