A SURPRISE of the illegal and dangerous kind was found in this Kinder egg case.
Heroin and crack cocaine were stuffed inside the plastic shell, found along with several others hidden in a wall in Halifax.
Police were called by a member of the public after they spotted the plastic shells in the Park ward.
Inside, officers found seven wraps of heroin and five wraps of cocaine.
Police are investigating where the drugs came from.
Sergeant John Thomas, from Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team, said: “This practice is not uncommon throughout other areas of Calderdale.
“Dealers often conceal drugs outside in the environment in small everyday containers in order to pick them up at a later date.
“Obviously when dealers use sweet containers to store their drugs, this poses a further risk to curious children.”
Police are urging anyone who sees suspicious packages left lying around to call them on 0845 6060606.
