A CHARITY with a base in Halifax has been named one of the best places to work.
The Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2011 placed Foundation at number ten in its list of best places to work in the charity and public sector.
The charity, which has offices on Bull Green, helps socially-exluded people across the north of England secure accommodation and independent living.
In Calderdale, its team of staff works with people including adult and young offenders and people with substance misuse problems.
The Sunday Times award recognised the positive work environment created by the Foundation and the positive attitude among staff.
John Hill, Foundation area manager, said: “The work our team carry out is complex and challenging; working with some of Calderdale’s most socially excluded people against a backdrop of reductions in public services.
“This award is a tribute to their commitment and professionalism.”
