Tributes have been paid to one of Calderdale’s oldest residents who has died at the age of 108.
Alice Wynne has been described by many as one in a million and will be remembered for her character, determination and positivity.
Her niece in law Doreen Wynne said one of the most remarkable things about Alice was her memory. “She lived life and liked doing things. She enjoyed people and talking. Everybody that met her was amazed. They couldn’t believe that she was that age. They would say she is amazing, what she knows and what she can do. She was marvellous really.”
Mrs Wynne said that Alice had fulfilled her dream after meeting the Queen at a garden party in Buckingham Palace as part of her 108th celebrations last year.
