A TOWN-centre cafe is open for business after a total transformation.

On The Square, in George Street, Halifax, is owned by Tom Wade. His sister Lee is managing the cafe.

Tom, who runs Topcoat bodyshop, New Road Business Park, New Road, Halifax, fancied trying his hand at another venture.

Lee said: “We have only been open a short while and it is already creating positive feedback and getting busier week by week. In the daytime it’s a relaxed coffee lounge selling fine loose teas, Honduran coffee, fresh paninis and cakes.

“On an evening it turns into a bottle bar, selling beers from around the world, fine wines and Champagne.”

“I am very proud of my brother for what he has achieved. It is a unique place to be in Halifax,” she said.

The cafe was transformed by local firm Marples Joinery.
