CHildren at St. John’s Primary School in Clifton enjoyed a poetic reward as their prize for winning a competition.
The school submitted an anthology of poems written by the pupils to the Bearder poetry competition in June last year.
The school’s prize for winning the competition was half a day with poet Chris White. who formed part of the judging panel.
He spent time with Year 5 and Year 6 classes at the school and performed some dramatic and exciting readings of his poems. He then hosted an assembly to the whole school.
