Angling: Kara's reeling them in!
KARA Sugden has every right to look pleased with herself.
The nine-year-old from Triangle has just completed an historic hat-trick of victories in Bradford No1 Angling Club's Tiddler's Trophy for the under 11s and she was the only girl on the bank.
Kara, a pupil at Triangle Junior School, who has been fishing for three years, won the contest at Raskelf Lake in North Yorkshire with a cracking net of bream, carp, crucians and tench for 10lbs 15oz, beating teenagers up to 17 years who were competing at the same time for their own trophy.
In a month's time she will attempt to land the club's Junior Trophy for the third year running in a match at Shelf Dam and if she successful grab the aggregate weight prize for the second year in succession.
Bradford No1 general secretary Howard Foster said: "She has tremendous powers of concentration and never misses a bite.
"To win three years running is just brilliant."
