Royal Mail bosses have unveiled a second stamp to celebrate Hannah Cockroft’s second gold medal win.
The stamp - marking superstar Hannah’s 200m win - will be available within five working days.
Royal Mail are also set to paint another post box gold - to add to the painted gold last weekend near Halifax’s town hall celebrating her 100m gold medal win.
The second post box’s location should be revealed within the next 24 hours.
Hannah’s stamp will be sold in more than 500 post office branches - including Halifax.
It can also be bought online from Saturday at www.royalmail.com/goldmedalstamps and from Royal Mail’s customer service centre on 08457 641 641.
A further 4,700 post offices will receive the gold medal stamps within a week.
***It has also emerged Calderdale Council bosses have invited our Paralympic medallists to a civic reception next week. Hannah Cockroft and Karen Darke - former Calder High School pupil who scopped silver in the time trial in cycling - have been invited to a reception at the Piece Hall in Halifax.
Calderdale’s Mayor, Councillor John Hardy, said: “Hannah and Karen’s performances at the Paralympics have been truly inspirational and I think that it is only right that the people of Calderdale have the opportunity to let both athletes know how proud of them we all are.
“I hope that both Hannah and Karen will be able to attend the public event at the Piece Hall and we will be letting people know full details of the arrangements just as soon as they are finalised.
“Hopefully, it will be a chance for the people of Calderdale to see the medals and join in the celebrations for these two fantastic athletes.”
